Close enough?

If you know that people are going to stop by your house, and you don't have either the time or ambition to clean, does it work to just leave out some cleaning supplies, maybe a vacuum or cleaner, as if to say, "Oh! You just caught me in the middle of cleaning the house and buffing my walls"...

You bet.... It works for me all the time. Also there is always a chance that your REALLY good friends or KIDS will just jump in and start cleaning.(Ha Ha don't count on it)
My mother used to automatically start looking around to see what needed to be done. Of course she brought her own white gloves to test for dust. It was never good enough to please her however. I think I told you that she also said that there are 3 things you MUST keep.
1.Your figure.
2.Your teeth.
3.A spotless house.
Well I do have my teeth. (Some Capped or course)
so..............,
1 out of 3 aint bad. Mom

Man, you think that would work? I always end up yelling at everyone which important stuff to do until 3our doorbell rings. Recently I have given up entirely - I am a pregnant mother of two in the middle of a major construction project and people will just have to accept the mess that is my house!

I heard you should always have Get Well cards all over your mantel so people will just think you have been sick.
